Oh yeah, I really look like these people LOL…

Maybe I’m just in a sentimental mood lately, but I wanted to take a moment to remind you guys to TAKE PICTURES. And if you use a digital camera, remember to actually PRINT them. Seriously. One day those pictures are going to mean the world to somebody. And one more thing - make sure that YOU get in front of the camera once in awhile too
Just a few of my memories…
My dad in the ’50s…. he passed away in ‘98.

My mom when she was a young thang… she passed away in ‘04.

My Grandma Jessee (my mom’s mom). She used to work in the kitchen at a hospital in OH. She passed away at the ripe old age of 92 years old in 1994.

Her again -

Me and my parents when I was maybe 10 or so… I know you’re secretly envious of my outfit too.

Me again… wasn’t I a cute kid?? What happened? LOL

My mom and two of her sisters when they were all young (their mom is in the middle)… my mom is the pouty one in front.

Another one of my dad as a young fella…

So anyway, you get the idea. TAKE PICTURES. Take lots and lots of pictures. It’s very affordable with this newfangled technology we have. And even if you think they’re terrible shots, it doesn’t matter. I wouldn’t take anything for the blurry, out of focus, magenta photos of my family. OK - end of PSA. Back to your regularly scheduled programming
Yesterday, my husband and I went to the Tennessee Renaissance Festival. I had never been before, and we had a good time! So many people were in costume and really “in character”, which made it very entertaining. I took a few pictures that I thought I would share. If you’ve never been, you should go! It’s open again next weekend and on Memorial Day!

I took Ginger to Bark in the Park in Lebanon on May 3 and we had a really good time! There were so many doggies there, plus we got a ton of free stuff from the vendors! AND…. Ginger revealed how talented she is. She painted this for me:

Isn’t she a wonderful painter? Who knew??
Anyway, she is recovering from her awful haircut quite nicely. Here are some photos I took of her just now (forgive the horrible lighting in my living room). Can you tell she’s spoiled rotten??? LOL

Until next time…

She went to the groomer a fluffy fur ball and came back skinny and bald! I’m so upset…. I hope it grows back fast!!

If you’re like me, you don’t really start your Christmas shopping until about Dec 22…. well, this year I decided to try to get a jump start on my shopping. I don’t know if you’ve been in Bath & Body Works lately, but oh. my. gosh. I could spend millions of dollars in that place. So, the #1 thing on my “favorite things for Christmas” list is the Sweetest, Softest Nap Blanket on Earth - found here. It really is soft…. I bought one for someone on my Christmas list yesterday, but I am SO tempted to keep it for myself! LOL Run, don’t walk, to your nearest Bath & Body Works and get one.
And because this post wouldn’t be complete without a photo, I’m posting a REALLY old one. I finally downloaded photos from my fuji point and shoot camera and this was from August ‘06, at my bachelorette party in downtown Nashville. Good times!

I hate having my picture taken. I’d much rather be behind the camera! I don’t think I’m very photogenic at all…. but, I figured that maybe, someone… someday, might like to have some pictures of me. So this is my first try at getting a decent self portrait. I just took this picture in my bathroom! LOL I thought I would share….. I apologize in advance if it breaks your monitor!

Here is another shot from Indiana…. the leaves were so beautiful! I love Fall

I’m back from Indiana…. we had a great time! I have lots of photos, but here is one for now. Did you know there’s a walnut in there??

I love strawberries. I saw these in my fridge tonight and thought I’d attempt some food photography. Something I’ve never really tried before. So here is my maiden voyage into the world of food photography. What do you think? Ok, now I’m hungry so I’m going to go eat them now….
