Last weekend I had the pleasure of meeting and photographing Mr. D and his little sister, Miss L. Mr. D loves his trains! He was such a sweet boy and I think he wanted to come home with me LOL! His little sister was adorable too, such a little doll! Here are a few shots from our session:

Yesterday, my husband and I went to the Tennessee Renaissance Festival. I had never been before, and we had a good time! So many people were in costume and really “in character”, which made it very entertaining. I took a few pictures that I thought I would share. If you’ve never been, you should go! It’s open again next weekend and on Memorial Day!

If you love the song on my website as much as I do, then you need to hurry and pre-order Priscilla Ahn’s new CD, A Good Day. “Dream” is included and all the other songs are AWESOME too. I just love her voice, I could listen to Priscilla all day long. And she is a very sweet, down to earth person too! Anyway, here’s the link on amazon.com so you can support Priscilla!

This little guy surprised his parents by arriving a few weeks early! He is so tiny and adorable. I’m so glad I had the opportunity to photograph him yesterday! Here are a few of my favorites of Mr. M. and another quote I love…
“Sons are the anchors of a mother’s life.”
– Sophocles

Until next time…

… and so alert! Miss C. was so tiny and adorable…. And her bedroom was every little girl’s dream come true! I love photographing newborns, they’re so fresh and new… it reminds me of what a great gift life really is. These brand new little people - they have their entire lives ahead of them, anything is possible. Very exciting, and makes me wish for my own newborn :) Anyway, I found this quote the other day and I love it:
“A baby is God’s opinion that the world should go on.” ~Carl Sandburg

Even though I shoot digital for client sessions, I still have an on again / off again love affair with film. Today I decided to dust off my Canon and get out and shoot a few rolls. I went to one of my favorite grungy, urban locations here in Lebanon. I also found an old car that was just screaming for me to stop and take it’s picture LOL. I had a lot of fun today, so I thought I would share a few….

Thanks for looking!
Last time I photographed my friend Amy’s children, Eleanor and Noah, they gave me drawings and I love them! Children’s art is so refreshing and innocent, I just love it! I thought I would have a little contest so I can share the artwork of your kids here on my blog! First, I’ll show you Eleanor and Noah’s work….
Eleanor’s

And Noah’s…

And just for the heck of it, here is a shot of the two of them… aren’t they cute???

So, back to the contest…. send a photo (no bigger than 500 pixels on the longest side) of your child’s drawing to me at sjp AT shaunajaredphotography.com (please include your name, your child’s name and age, and your phone # and mailing address to be registered for a prize). I’ll accept drawings until April 15, 2008, and I’ll post some of them in the meantime for everyone to enjoy! On April 16, I will put the names of all the parents who submitted drawings into a hat and draw three winners…. All three will win a FREE session and a FREE 11 x 14 mounted print from their session!! There may also be a few other prizes too… stay tuned!
Alright, let’s see some artwork!

I know this is late, but I hope that you all had a wonderful Valentine’s Day. I sure did. My husband got me an XM radio and I am totally loving it! The 70’s and 80’s channels alone are awesome!
Other than that, I’ve been busy being sick. I still have a bad cough and some chest congestion, but hopefully that will be gone soon.
Anyway, I will be doing Limited Edition on location sessions next month. I’m booking only six ”Angel” sessions, for which I will supply the angel wings if you supply the sweet cherubs to wear them :) More details to come, but if you’re interested, please email me at sjp AT shaunajaredphotography.com or use the contact form on my website.

Just wanted to share a few shots from the Valentine’s Day mini sessions I had a couple of weekends ago. First, here is Mr. N…. he’s such a cutie!

And here is his sister, Miss E, who is trying to be America’s Next Top Model:

And here they are together, lookin’ so sweet:

Next up, we have Miss B…. she’s just the cutest thing ever!

And her sister, Miss S… workin’ the camera!

And the two of them together (with Miss B’s baby)… awwwwwww….
